Thom Cain Promoted to Northeastern Regional Sales Manager

Waukesha, WI — Metal-Era, Inc., the national leader in commercial roof edge and roof ventilation solutions, announces that Thom Cain has been promoted to Northeastern Regional Sales Manager He will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the sales efforts of Roof Edge Solutions, Edge Systems One and Airflow Solutions for 15 states.

Thom began at Metal-Era in 2003 as the Northeastern Regional Technical Manager. His strong field experience allows him to provide creative solutions for challenging and custom roof conditions. Throughout his career at Metal-Era Thom has been instrumental in managing a number of high profile projects including:

• New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford NJ
• Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ
• Princeton Football Stadium in Princeton, NJ
• Bucks County Prison in Doylestown, PA
• Rutgers University Football Stadium Expansion in Piscataway, NJ
• Howard Young Correctional Institute in Wilmington, DE
• Multiple projects at Temple & Drexel Universities in Philadelphia, PA
• Multiple projects at State University - New York (SUNY) in New York State

Thom has been involved in the roofing industry since 1979 and his roots in the industry can be traced to the time he worked his way up from a Roofer’s Helper to a Foreman working his way through college at Arizona State University.

Thom has also held sales and management positions at Allied Building Products and served as technical and sales manager at US Intec and Tarmac Roofing Systems.

Thom has been involved in continuing education for the industry his entire career and is an often requested speaker at seminars for the Construction Specifications Institute(CSI), the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI). His most recent presentations include “Understanding ANSI/SPRI ES-1” and “Principles of Commercial Roof Ventilation.”
